Stricker using irons from 2006 at Muirfield Village

Steve Stricker is rocking up to Muirfield Village for the Memorial Tournament this week with irons that are 13-years old in the form of the Titleist 755 Forged.

The 12-time PGA Tour winner had great success with the old set, first released in 2006, but had recently moved onto the brand’s newer 710 AP2 irons, before giving the 718CB and 718 AP2 models a short run.

The 52-year-old was watching old footage recently and noticed his former trusty wrenches, prompting him to grab them from the garage. What harm could a quick hit of the old boys do?

He’ll game them at the Memorial Tournament this week still with the original satin Project X shafts. I’m sure Titleist are thrilled.
