Just before Christmas last year we received an email from the wife of a PGA Tour player.
They were planning a trip to London to do some Christmas shopping, to see the sights and to enjoy a show, and her husband was looking for somewhere that he could work on his game.
We were only too happy to help, and the player spent a couple of days in our VIP room the Bunker while the rest of family hit the shops.
His name? JJ Spaun.
And since he returned to the USA, JJ has been on quite a run of form.
He finished third in the first tournament of the year - the Sony Open in Hawaii.
He tied Rory McIlroy at The Players and lost in a playoff.
And then, of course, he won the 2025 US Open at Oakmont, earning himself $4.3m, taking his season's earnings to nearly $10m.
He's pretty much guaranteed to make his Ryder Cup debut in September, and while we can't take all of the credit for his incredible run of form, we like to think his pre-season tune-up at Urban Golf might have had helped a bit.
He's a great guy as well as great player, and a true gent - congratulations JJ, you're welcome back any time.
