As we head into December, we are starting to see handicaps settle. In the second half of the season, things should really tighten up. A few of you have been asking about a gross event — you can see the gross standings on the site. Pride should be enough, but we will create a prize for that too.
In December, we are sticking to the slightly easier green settings but taking you on a journey through different setups and types of golf.
We’ve got Cabot Links playing at a good length and in true links conditions.
Then there’s that club in Georgia — but playing like it’s the 60s: yellow tees at 6,200 yards and autumn‑soft conditions, far more playable than firm and fast at 7,400.
Finally, we take a trip across the world to another MacKenzie masterpiece: Royal Melbourne. White tees at 6,200 yards but firm and fast — it wouldn’t be right any other way.
December's prize comes courtesy of our friends at Chapel Down, who have donated a magnum of their famous Brut for our monthly winner.
