November brought three great courses and three wildly different tests. While Mammoth Dunes let everyone properly free it up, the other two demanded straight hitting and punished anything wandering offline. We should all be grateful the greens weren’t firm and fast for Shinnecock - and the tournament committee would like to formally apologise for not realising quite how much OB there actually is at Kauri Cliffs.
Kauri Cliffs, Mammoth Dunes, and Shinnecock Hills each revealed something new (and occasionally horrifying) about the field. As it happens, it’s only the Urban Underground Series that can genuinely identify the complete golfer, tossing out wildly different setups each month and seeing who can adapt, survive, and occasionally thrive.
Congrats to PIN, who took the November prize after missing the whole of October due to injury. He wins a two night B&B stay at The Leddie, located at the heart of Scotland's Golf Coast.
1. Pin - 855 points - missed last month injured straight back into form
2. Craig Wheeler - 630 points. Great month that will be sure to see him slashed
3. TRazvi- 627 - Another solid month and the best individual performance with -6 Gross at Mammoth.
4. JamesCourt - 545 - Most consistent performer of the month with top 5 finishes in all events
5. LBG - 485 - former London’s Best Golfer David Andrews rolling back the clock
6. MustangScally - 437. The Gross king consistently places well in Net just waiting to pounce
Setting: New Zealand’s clifftop cathedral —white tees at 6,600 yards, normal firmness, greens stimping at 8.
Winner: cswheeler (Net –6)
November began at Kauri Cliffs, and it immediately reminded everyone that beauty and danger often share a boundary line — usually the one marked OB. With greens running at a friendly stimp 8 but fairways tight, Kauri rewarded nerve and punished anything drifting toward the Pacific.

The Story
This was the month the big handicaps bit back. Both cswheeler and LBG2014 torched the place with matching rounds of six under par - outrageous scoring on a track where the drop zones get more action than the fairways.
Setting: 6,000 yards, firm-as-links fairways, enormous greens, stimp 8.
Winner: TRazvi (Net –8)
Mammoth Dunes delivered exactly what November ordered — width, bounce, creativity, and plenty of opportunities to make either genius or catastrophic decisions. And while most of the field found a bit of both, one man found another gear entirely.

The Story
This was Mammoth at its most mischievous —and TRazvi absolutely torched it. A ludicrous –8, built on perfect use of the slopes, fearless attacking lines, and a refusal to hit the safe shot when the ridiculous one was available.
Setting: Green tees at 6,200 yards, medium‑firm greens, Sunday pins, stimp 8.
Winner: Pin (Net –3)
This was a friendly introduction to Shinnecock. Sunday pins made every approach a negotiation, but with the greens at 8 and the middle tees in play, those who worked out they didn’t need driver as much as they might think were rewarded.
